EOTD: Blue My Mind
We all know that when it comes to eye makeup, I am not very creative. I almost always go for a neutral look because... well, because we can't go wrong with neutrals! With that said, I still believe that we could all use a little color from time to time :)
So here's one of the more colorful eye makeup I sported recently.
To create this blue gradient eye makeup, I used the MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio in Blue My Mind.
This product also happens to be my first ever MAC product, and it was given to me by the awesome Charles, the blogger behind wickermoss.blogspot.com, some time last year! Thanks, Charles! :D
Now, usually when I sport more colorful eye makeup, the first colors I grab are pinks and purples because they are more wearable. This particular trio makes sporting blue a lot easier for me, though, because the colors are soft enough for my liking.
The shade in the middle is really pretty <3
How I achieved this look?
I first applied an eyeshadow primer. Then, using a short shader brush, I applied the first shade from the eyeshadow trio all over my lids. I darkened up the outer third of the lids using the middle mermaid-blue shade and a fluffy blending brush. Then I applied the black on the outer corners lightly to add a bit more definition. After that, I softened the edges using a clean blending brush, lined my eyes thinly and applied mascara on my lashes.
Here's the list of all the products I used.
- ELF Eyelid Primer
- MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio in Blue My Mind
- San San Liquid Eyeliner in Black
- Ever Bilena Advance HD Eyepencil in Black
- Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara
- Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in 02
- In2it Waterproof Eyebrow Colour
- Virginia Olsen Short Shader Brush
- Beauty Cosmetics Synthetic Blending Brush
Paired this eye look with nude lips and soft peachy-pink cheeks.
Hope you like it! :)
