Quick Tips: Longer-Wearing, Instant Nail Art
Quick tip on how you can spice up your nail color - top it off with a coat or two of glitter polish! And to make it even less boring, here's another tip - apply the glitters only on the tips or upper half part of your nails! :)
Instant nail art! <3
You've probably seen me use this trick a lot of times already in my NOTD posts.
I'm wearing Etude House Dear My Blooming Nails in #3 in the photo, topped with Sassy Colors glitter nail polishes in Rainbow Glitter and Pink Glitter.
I applied colorful glitter on the tips to make the color more fun. Not that the shade itself needed any more help. It's already a good shade on its own. There are just times when I want to make my nails look like I have nail art on without actually spending a lot of time doing it.
I believe this is why we need glitter nail polishes in our stash - they can transform your nail color from boring to, well, not-so-boring-anymore! Hahaha.
I just used simple glitter polishes here but, of course, you can use whatever you like. Maybe chunky glitters or even flakies! Be creative with your glitters! I wasn't really a fan of glitter polishes before because they're tough to remove, but I see now how useful they can be. I'm gonna get other kinds of glitters soon :)
Here's what my blinged-out nails looked like after almost a week.
Just nail growth visible, no chipping. I didn't even apply a clear top coat. Maybe the polish itself is long-wearing, I don't know. But I think the glitter polish also served as an additional protective coating that prevented the color on the tips from chipping. I noticed that almost every time I used a glitter top coat, my nail color lasted for a longer period without major chipping.
To extend the wear time of your nail color and to make it even more chip-proof, use the 'wrapping technique.' Not familiar with the nail tip-wrapping technique? It's one where you simply coat even the free edge of your nail with nail polish. Simply put, you're 'wrapping' your nails with the nail polish.
That's it for my quick nail polish tips! Pun intended. Got some tips too? Share them as comments below :)
Here's another shade from the same nail polish line.
It's Etude House Dear My Blooming Nails in #4. Lovely shade! Imagine what it would look like with sparkly tips!
Great tips!!!!! I always feel like glittery polishes are so hard to remove but I like how long lasting they are. You did your nails so nice!
